LOST IN THE TARARUAS.
MISSING MEN FOUND. BUT A SEARCHER LOST. ' The two men named EseotL father and son. who on Tuesday last, Jeff Eketahumi for Mangahao, were discovered by a party from the latter place on Saturday morning in the hush within a short distance of the Mangahao hydro-electric works camp. There is,'however, unfortunately, every reason to believe that one of the search party, Mr G. Dunnage, lost his life whilst attempting to bring the news of the discovery to the men at Mangahao. The missing man was a strong swimmer and it is thought that he must have attempted to cross one of the deep gorges and been injured on the rocks and boulders with which the stream is obstructed. Tie is the son of a well-known surveyor Mr AY. H. Dunnage, of Kati Kati. Bay of Plenty, and had been employed at Mangahao for some time. Search parties are out. THREE MORE MEN MTSSTXG. Palmerston N.. This Afternoon. Three men. Messrs Hobbs. Gill and Green fell, are reported missing. Tliev left Mangahao to cross over to Eketaliuna and no word has been received of their arrival. Tliev have with them guns and a sufficient supply of food. - The weather in the ranges is very bad.
