BOWLING.
The Fox ton Bowling Club was represented at the Manawatn Centre Bowling Tournament during the Easter holidays by Messrs Head. Christie. Boss and Poore (s). The rink was successful in securing 6 wins and suffered 3 losses at the hands of "Messrs Ramsay. Corhridge and Jolly respectively and narrowly missed being included in the semi-finals’ by one game. The most wins for the section wore secured by Mr White’s rink (Carterton) with 7 wins. At the end of the sectional play the following have qualified for the semi-finals: — Section A. —White (Carterton) 7 wins. Section B. —Davidson (Terrace End) S wins: Wardrop (Woodville) 7 wins; W. E. -Tones (Palmerston X.) 7 wins. Section C. —Duff (Eketahuna) 8 wins.
Section D. —Eckersley (Manawatn) 8 wins; Herdman (Feilding) 7 wins.
These play off on the sudden death principle until the winner of the tournament is found.
