MANAWATU RABBIT BOARD.
FIRST ELECTION OF MEMBERS.
The first election of members of the recently constituted Manawatu Rabbit Board wifi take place tomorrow (Wednesday). There are ten candidates for the seven vacancies on the Board. The candidates are a» follows: —Messrs VV. E. Barber, H. Bond, It. Boswell, J. Gloyn, B. G. Gower, T. A. Grammer, J. Mclvelvie, Av A. Witchell, F. C. A a ikes, and C. E. Vile. All the candidates are well-known practical farmers in the district. The Foxton polling booth is situated at the Borough Council Chambers, the principal booth being the County Uiiice, Sanson. The polling hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The returning officer is Mu' A. K. Drew, Sanson.
Mr P. Woods, of Motuiti, who took an active part in the constitution of the Board, withdrew his nomination for membership in order to avoid splitting of votes for southern candidates.
