There is a splendid art supplement showing, the. latest fashions from London and Paris; gratis transfer of new designs for working on dresses, coats, jumpers, bags etc: further instalment of the serial story, ‘‘Tony in Between" by Winifred Carter; a letter from Paris; the newest tailored costumes and wrap coats; daytime-frocks for all occasions; etc. Also recipes : New ways of cooking cod; liow to cover a chesterfield; the children’s paga with "prize competition, etc. A real good number. Weldon’s Bazaar of Children’s Fashions, April Number: —contains free patterns including a flounced frock and kilted dress, 4 to 6 years. Boy’s suit, 2 to 4 years. Special feature contained in this number, are:—Dress notes by the editress oil the new fabrics and styles ;stylish coats and walking suits; eosfirrnniion dresses* school outfits for girls and sets for tiny tots and tbe new baby. This number includes hats given as prizes. A lesson is given in making girl’s camisoles etc. The childrens page with adventure 'slory is particularly good. Readers of “Adventure Stories" will remember Mr. E. Charles Vivian’s recent serial, “Fields of' Sleep" which proved such a success in book form. His new story, “People of' (he Darkness" surpasses its predecessor in swill action and dramatic incident while ii also embodies an even-more weirdly original conception lime that of the, mysterious “Trees of Sleep” m (hose “people" wln> give the story its title. Tt is a magnificent piece of imaginative writing, which will hold every reader from start to finish. This new sthry appear- m the February number of the “Adventure Storv Magazine.” Other stories by Neil Millard. Stanley J. Weyman.
