BOWLING

The advent of rain yesterday afternoon prevented the completion of the Wilford Cup contest. The games of the second drawing gave Stohr a win over Walker, Huntley a wiu from Healey, Roore a win from Wkibley, Thomson a win from Heasmun, Simpson a win from Ross and Pearson forfeited to Barr. the semi-linals saw only four players left in the contest, Simpson having departed from the district, and Stohr withdrawing in anticipation of ills'departure. The draw i e.-ulted :—Barr v. Thomson, Roore v. Huntley. These two games were commenced but at about tbe eighth head rain intervened and made further piay impossible.

A member of Bedding Club who was a visitor to Buxton last week, writes saying- he lost a silver pencil on oi near the Poxton green. The local secretary would be pleased to forward same if anyone has it in their possession.
