ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

iiotorua, Last Eight. The body of Leonard Alien, drowned in the Waikato river at Atiuinun on March Uth, was found this evening near' Ungaroto. There are no particulars. .Napier, Yesterday. An accident of a somewhat unusual nature befell L. Harris, a farmer of laradale, to-day while driving a small car on a country road. Harris smelt lire and as he looked round ne lost control of the car and crashed into a telegraph pole which snapped oil and fell over the hood of the ear. Had the driver been sitting up straight when the pole fell instead of leaning out he would probably have been injured. As it was he just had time to get out before the ear was enveloped in flames.
