VISIT BY PALMERSTON NORTH BRETHREN'.
Twenty-eight officers and members of the Loyal Manawatu Lodge, M.U.T.0.0.F., Palmerston N., consisting of ladies and gentlement paid <i fraternal visit to Loyal Foxton Lodge on Tuesday evening last. The proceedings were conducted entirely by the visitors. After conclusion of business a musical programme was submitted which added considerably to the enjoyment of the evening. Refreshments were dispensed at the close. Bro. A. G. Huntley, P.G.M. welcomed the visitors on behalf of the local Lodge and Bro. Christiansen responded. All the offices were filled by the visitors whose discharge of their duties was an inspiration to local members. During the evening a candidate was initiated. The offices were filled as follows: N.G., Bro. Christiansen; R.S., Bro Ries; L.S., Bro. Clifford; N.G., Bro. T. Rodgers; R.S. Bro Fraser; LS., Sister Drummond; Warden, Bro. Pitcher; Guardian, Bro. Hattrick; GAL, Bro. Bruce. The following programme was submitted: —Overture: “Poet and Peasant." Bro. and Sister Seroggs, violin and piano; song: “Songs of Araby,” P.G. Bro. Dilks; quartette “Sweet and Low,” Bros. Dilks, Cattrick, and Seroggs and Sisters Cattrick and Seroggs; monologue: “The Green Eye of the Yellow God,” Sister Cattrick (encored); part song: “Are you Going to Dance,” Bros. Woodroofe, Cattrick and Dilks, Sisters Cattrick and Seroggs; song: “Mississippi,” Bro. Cattrick (encored), “On the Top of the Car.” Song: “Mother McChree,” Bro. Dilks: recitation: “Just Her Way,” Sister Cattrick (encored); recitation, Bro. B. T. Barnett (encored); song: “Oh, it’s coming on Again,” Bro. Bangs; address: P.P.G.M. Bro. S. .1. Watson, P.M. The accompanists were Brother and Sister Seroggs and Sister Woodroofe. . The local lodge will pay a return visit at a later date.
