RACING AT BULLS.
The annual meeting of the Rangitikei Racing Club opened at Bulls yesterday in beautiful weather. The course was rather heavy. During the day the “tote” handled £10,077 as against £16,684 for the same day last year. Results: — Trial Plate. —Gleuross 1, Bonny Marion 2, Ruby Ring 3. Won by five lengths each way. Time 1.16 3-5. Scott Memorial Handicap.—Black Cruiser 1, Aeriform and Rose of Athens (dead heat) 2. Won by two lengths. Time 1.15 1-5. Ohakea Hack Hurdles.—Santiago 1, All Melody 2, Waimatao 3. Won by a head. Time 3.19 2-5. Rangitikei Cup.—Para 1, Hallowt'oz. 2, Snatcher 3. Won by a neck. Time 2.9 A.
Carnarvon Hack Handicap. — Strongbolt 1, Some Red 2, Sonny Boy 3. Won by three-quarters of a length each way. Time 1.17. Clifton Hack Welter. —General Carrington 1, Skylight 2, First Born 3. The. only starters. Won by half a head, ten lengths between second and third. Time 1.33 1-5.
Ladies Bracelet. —Dignity 1, Asleep 2, Wilderness 3. Won by a short head. Time 1.59 4-5.
Ngatiapa Hack Handicap.—Orchid 1, Tonohari 2, Bonny Gold 3. Won by two lengths. Time 1.3.
