UNITED SPORTS ASSOCIATION
A committee meeting of the übove, presided over by Mr YY. T. Jewell, was held on Thursday evening, i here were also present: Messrs YY. f. Barber, Parkin, Thomson, Pearson, Austin, Ceylon, H. Robinson, Chris lie, Hutchirm, A. N. Smith, I’erreau, and P. Hi miner. The advertising committee's action re printing, etc., was adopted. It was notified that Mr YY atkins, of Shannon, had consented to as--ist with the sports. Mr Davidson was asked to reconsider his resignation as a committeeman. Decided to advertise the sports on the picture screens' at Poxtun, Devin and Shannon. It was decided to hold a dance on the night of the sports and n mmitlees were set up to arrange details. Mr Smith was thanked for giJ 1 of gold ribbon for officials. Details iu connection with handicapping and trophies were agreed to. A commit lee Lo confer with the BaJid te carnival matters was appointed.
