THE PURPLE HIGHWAY.”
Madge Kennedy, stage and screen favourite, is facing the camera a gain for the first time in more than two years. The seven reel feature, “The Purple Highway,” which will be seen at the Town Hall Cabaret to morrow evening, is Miss Kennedy’s first motion picture vehicle since her return. She gives a delightful, wholesome, humau portrayal of a charming waif who rose to be a famous actress and left behind the broken hearts of those who helped her on to “The Purple Highway.” The supporting cast includes Monte Blue, Winifred Harris and Charles Kent. To-morrow’s comedy is from the Monte Banks’ studio and is titled “The Artist.” Usual Cabaret prices.
Tom Alix says “Catch My Smoke” if you can at the Town Hall on Saturday. For the rich aud poor, the beautiful and plain, there is only one law! She has broken it and must pay. A big- moment in Cecil B. dc Aiilles wonderful super “Manslaughter.” You will see it Monday, March 31st.
