HIGH COAIMISSIONER’S REPORT.
The iiigh Commissioner’s cable, uuted loth March, reads: "Hemp, Manila market, opened dull but closed somewhat stronger. ‘J’ grade, Januaiy-March shipments, sold at J.J7 U> £37 10/-. ALareh-ALay shipments quoted at £37 and values. The output of Mauiia for Pebruary was 280,000 hales against 231,000 for the same period iast year. Stocks in Alanila are 154,000 against 133,000 for la*t year. Stocks in Great Britain are 14,500 against 5,500. .New Zealand market quiet and quotations unchanged.”
