DANGEROUS ROAD.
NEAR' SHANNON BRIDGE.
The Directors of the Shannon Cooperative Dairy Co. have written the following letter to the local Chamber of Commerce: — “At a meeting' of my Directors, held on Thursday, a very strong indictment was made of the dangerous position of the ramps over the road near the Muuawutu Bridge. “Under the direction of my Board 1 have already written the Horowheima County Council and the Public Works Department calling their attention to this matter and suggesting that the road should be widened by at least eight feet at the point indicated. “Aly Board considers, however, that in the interests of public safety, it is desirable that responsible public bodies in the district should make similar representations in order that the danger might be remedied as speedily as possible. We, therefore, respectfully solicit the co-operations of your Chamber to this end.”
