SWIMMING.
The Foxton Swimming Club held a swimming carnival at- the wharf on Saturday afternoon. There was a fair attendance of residents on the wharf to witness the events, seven in number, and a fairly successful carnival was held. The following are the results: — Fifty yards, Breast Stroke: W. Hirini 1, E. Ball and J. Potaka (dead heat) 2. 100 yards Handicap: T. Fuller 1, G. Perreau 2, J. Huff 3. Boys’ Diving: W. Hirini 1, J. Hirini 2, E. Ball 3. 50 yards under 12: G. Hirini 1, It. Ball 2, R. Healey 3. Men’s Dive: J. Huff 1, G. Perreau 2, H. Huff 3. Foxton Championship, 100 yards: W. Harrison 1, A. Fuller 2, G. Perreau 3. Relay Race (Barr and Tyer Cup) Winning Team: A. Fuller, J. Perreau, W. Hirini.
