CROSSING SMASH.
EXPRESS HITS DRAY. Palmerston N. March 7. A level crossing accident, fortunately not attended with loss of human life, occurred at Bunnythorpe early this afternoon, when the New Plymouth express crashed into a horse and dray owned and driven by one, O’Donnell, of Bunnythorpe. The driver managed to get clear, and escaped injury, but the horse was killed and the dray badlv smashed.
The crossing lias been the scene of several previous accidents, two being fatal.
