A deputation arranged by the Palmerston North Chamber of Commerce and consisting of deltgates from that Chamber and the Foxton Harbour Board, Foxton Borough ('"tiiicil and Chamber of Commerce will wait upon the Minister of Railways and Alinister of Public Works at Wellington on March sth at 2.30 p.m. with a request that Government coal for the railways, etc. ho shipped through the Foxton port. The deputation will submit figures showing the saving to be effected in railway haulage and the corres ponding benefit to the local port.
