The Oamaru correspondent of the Dunedin Star says that Sir Thomas Mackenzie expects a general election in New Zealand about December, and if lie is hack from England he will probably contest the Waitaki seat against Mr Bitchener, Sir Thomas also states that Sir Joseph Ward is likely to contest a Wellington seat-, probably Wellington North.
