Genius is not affected by birth or wealth, by surroundings, by circumstance or by inheritance. It is a gift that cannot be taken away and that, cannot, be transferred. We find genius among the poor as often as we do among the rich. Such is the theme of “Lights of New York,” which is hooked for screening at the Town Hall on Saturday night. The Fox production in its first episode sets forth the success of a young chap whose early life began in the poorer part of the city. The characters are ably portrayed by a fine cast headed by Marc Me Dermott and Estelle Taylor.
