OBITUARY.

MRS .1 FINKS, AGED GO YE AES,

The death took place at the Palmerston North Hospital yesterday of Mrs Annie Alary .Josephine Jenks, relict of the late Mr Alfred .Jenks, aged GO years. The late Airs Jenks was, up to a few years ago, one of Poston’s oldest and most highly esteemed residents, having resided here with her late husband during the best part of their married life. Although of a retiring disposition, she took a keen interest in the social welfare of the town ami was a devoted member of All Saints’ church and i ue of the founders of All Saints’ Guild. By her eiuistian character and gentle disposition she endeared to herself all with whom she was acquainted and a large circle of friends will share equally with the bereaved family an irreparable lo.is. Some years ago she contracted a painful disease which she bore uncomplainingly and which, despite skilled medical attention and a litial operation, was the cause of her clever The passing of her husband, to whom she was deeply attached, also sapped her health. To the family we extend, in common with the Fox ton public, our sincere sympathy on the loss they have sustained.

The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving All Saints’ Church Foxton, at 2.30 p.m. for the local cemetery, where the body will be interred by the side of her late husband and son.
