DETERMINED SUICIDE.

Auckland, Last Night

A determined suicide occurred at Ponsonby, where the body of a man was found suspended from a tree on a cliff by a piece of wire clothes line. The deceased was William Cain, n single man and a labourer, aged about thirty, who arrived r,-uni England about a year ago. It is stated that a man saw Cain either jump or fall over the cliff, a drop of 25 to 35 feet, at about 5.30 pan. Beyond a scratch on the arm, Cain was unhurt. Within threequarters of a.u hour the body was found.
