RECORD OFFERING. Auckland, Yes tv rd ay. The second wool sale in Auckland opened to-night, a. record number „f 22,580 bales being catalogued. | Rices were exceptionally good for medium and low crossbred, which comprises the bulk of the offering, .hose being 2d to 3Ad better than at last Auckland sale. Fine crossbred realised from 19d to 28<1. the highest priced lots being reclassed, extra skirled, tine lot <d over 100 hales crossbred, which realised 17 ; i : d was similar to that sold at the first sale for L4d. One line of halfbred brought 27d a line of fine cross bred of the same brand bringing 2<id. About /OU bales were offered to-night and 98 per cent, were sold. The only lots passed in had prohibitive reserves. Most of the purchases were for Bradtord and Continental firms, local mills securing a few lots, a large bench of buyers t epresenting Britain. I'ranee, Belgium, Germany, .Japan, and the United States, besides local mills.
