HOROWHENUA (LEVIN) SHOW
The entries for the above Association’s annual show to be held on the Levin racecourse on Wednesday and Thursday, 30th and 31st January are very satisfactory and show a slight increase all round on the previous year. In the horse classes there promises to be some very high classed competitors. The cattle section has filled remarkably well, amongst which are some as good as could be found in any show ring. Sheep have also made a forward move, owing no doubt to the more promising outlook of the wool market which has given these breeders more confidence. In the pig classes there are some 40 odd entiles as against 28 the previous year and in I hese there will be some very choice exhibits. In all the show promises to be well ahead of previous ones, which fact is also borne out by the numerous applications for ground space from side shows and other exhibitors, from which those not altogether keenly interested in stock will find plenty to attract them.
