Tlif concluding day of the Metropolitan Club’s Summer meeting was held at Trent ham on Saturday, perfect weather conditions prevailing. The following- are the results: — Wallaeeville High Weight Handicap. —Spalpeen 1, Vagabond 2, Malingerer 3. Won by half a length, four lengths separating second and third. Time 2.35 2-5. Waterloo Stakes. —Gloaming 1, Glentruin 2, Nigger Minstrel 3. Won by a neck, with third horse a similar distance away. Time 1.12 1-5. Hopeful Stakes Handicap. —Lady Bentinek 1, Siaosi 2, Lake Uru 3. Won by three-quarters of a length, third horse a neck back. Time Train. Melrose Handicap.—Penelopkou 1. Ihapotoa 2, Puntagruel 3. Won by a length with two lengths separating second and third. Time 1.27 2-5. Summer Handicap.—Lovesign 1, Roseday 2, Gold Light 3. Won by three lengths, third liox-se a length and a-lntlf away. Time 1.37 2-5. Consolation Handicap.
