AI the Levin Police Court yesterday Percy Lewis was charged with issuing to Walter Bull, at Levin, mi May IS, a valueless cheque for t'(> 10/6 and obtaining thereby Cfi 4/- and goods valued at fi/6.
Accused pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court at F’a liners lon N. on February 5, for sentence, after the hearing of evidence. Accused was further charged with obtaining from Charles Albert Lnrcombe at Paten on May 11, 1923, a pair of hoots valued at. £2 7/6. and £4 2/6 by a valueless cheque for £6 10/-. He was remanded to Pa tea on Felmiarv Ist.
