The High Commissioner's cable, dated the 12th inst., reads: "Hemp, Manila market, steady to firm, with fair business. ‘J’ grade alloal sold at £3O, to £3O 5. -, Jnnuary-Mareh shipments now quoted at £3O values. New Zealand market steady, present quotations are: high points £3O 10/-, fair £33 10/- to £34 per ton.”
