A WOMAN’S DEATH
POLICE INVESTIGATION
BROTHER'S DISAPPEARANCE CREATES INTEREST.

A single woman named Mary Duggan, aged 4ft, was found dead in bed, wearing a nightdress. It is not known whether the woman was the sole occupant of the house, lad the police are pursuing investigations in view of possible suspicious circumstances. It is stated Dial no signs of poison were found, and that there were no wounds on I lie body. Later. I'n connect ion with the circumstances surrounding tbe death of Kate Duggan, found dead in bed in Newton last night, the police are making investigation- to-day. Peculiar features arc that although the post-mortem held to-day dis elo.-ed nothing but death from natural causes, a brother, who lived constantly with deceased, has been missing since Sunday. Deceased was last seen alive on Saturday. The brother wa- observed leaving the house on Sunday, and lias not yet been found.
