AN ALLEGED CASE OF RINGING-IN.

Dunedin, January 7

.Sensational developments are expected in connection with the impronding of the racehorse which under the name of "Look-out,” won two trotting races at Invercargill last week. The horse was examined at AL- 0. Grant’s stable yesterday by members of the police force and others and it is stated that the horse is a high-class performer that is well-known throughout the South Island. Members of the police force are prosecuting inquiries further afield and are likely to take action within a day or two.
