A YOUTH STABBED.
HOODLUMS AND CHINESE. Auckland, January 2. in Ihe early hours of New Year’s Day hoodlums annoyed Chinese in a fruit shop at Milford, Takapuna, with the result that Jimmy Oheo was arrested on a charge of slabbing Arthur Bestie. The young man, who is in hospi*(al. has a severe wound ou one hand. As far as is known, Bestie was not (onneeied with the hoodlums who annoyed the Chinese. Subsequently the hoodlums raided the Chinese ••■hop, smashed a plateglass window, the showcases, and a door, and damaged a quantity of fruit.
