COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE.
GUILTY OF ASSAULT. Ashburton. December 27. .Joseph Simpson Kelly, an elderly and powerfully built man, pleaded guilty at Rakaia court to assaulting with intent to rob, an Indian ex-ser-vice man named Thomas Britt. Ihe accused, who was arrested on Christmas Eve, is alleged to have dslocated Britt's linger, injured.his throat, and caused other hurts. Accused was committed for sentence.
