RIFLE SHOOTING.

The first trophy match was held on Saturday for the Patron’s (IP. liobinson Esq,’s) and vice-patron’s (J. Linklater Esq., M.P.’s) trophies at 300 yards. There was the usual hshtaii wind blowing but the scores were of a fair average. Scores are as follows: — A. Barnard 48 (nil) 48; S. Head 45 (2) 47; J. Hartley 43 (4) 47; E. Fergusson 43 (4) 47; H. Hamer 42 (5) 47; A. E. Admore 42 (5) 47j C. Band 41 (6). 47; W. Symonds 39 (4) 43; H. Frankland 43 (nil) 43; G. Cull 35 (8) 43. The next shoot will be held at 500 yards.
