FOXTON DEFEATS HUNTERVTLLE. The inter-club tournament was continued sit Palmerston N. on Thursday when Foxton met and defeated Hunterville. V Mrs B o wick and Mrs Stratford T 5„ lost to Mrs Pearson and Miss B/Speirs, 26; Mrs Clark and Mrs Wotten 10, lost to Mrs Healey and Mrs Owen, 26; Mrs Bates"?, lost to Mrs Perreau 26; Mrs Bates 9 lost to Mrs Wyllie 26; totals 41, 104. . Manawatu defeated Dannevirke by 94 to 61. The third round will be played next week, and the remaining' matches between those clubs which have not yet met, will be resumed after the conclusion of the New Zealand championships, which are to be played on the Palmerston N. lawns from January 17. The draw for the third round is Foxton v. Manawatu at Takara Park on December 20th. .
