“GRUMPY.” That delightful and popular stage play “Grumpy,” has been brought to the screen and will head the hill at the Town Tin 11 Cabaret tomorrow evening. William De Mille has selected a fine east headed hv Theodore Roberts, “the grand old man of the screen,” in the role of “Grumpy,” the crotchety, but lovable, old detective, and including May McAvoy and Conrad Nagel. The Story deal' with the love affairs of a young eonple fostered by Grumpy. A valuable diamond i* stolen, and its recovery is wholly due to the discovery of the identity of a robber by means of a white gardenia. How Grumpy gets bis clue and runs it down makes one of the most suspenseful yet amusing stories ever screened. A Monte Batiks'Comedy: “Cleaned and Dry,” is added: to the programme. Usual Cabaret prices. “Jazz Mania,” the nine-reel Mae Murray super production, to be shown on Thursday next, contains many big scenes, chief among which are: The revolution in jazz mania, the big airplane crash at Monte Carlo, the wonderful daring dances performed by the star, and the gorgeous and tasteful fashion show. To sum up, “Jazz Mania” is a blaze of colour. ROYAL PICTURES. When Edward Segwiek wrote the story “Dead Game,” he built it; nround bis favourite cowboy, Hoot Gibson. He knew well Hoot’s ability in the way of roping, shooting and horsemanship, and he made the cowboy hero of the story do all of the things that he knew Hoot could do so well, and then directed the filming of the play at Universal City. “Dead Game,” a Universal attraction, will be screened at the Royal Theatre to-morrow night. Also Century Comedy entitled “Hold On.”

The starring attraction on Friday night; is “My Wild Irish Rose,” with Pauline Starke and Pat O’Mai - ly. To those who are Irish deeendants or who are Trish by birth, the picture will have a great appeal for it breathes the very atmosphere of that country.
