ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Gore, November 27. or six men of Ohartlea Park irra-tipn, Balfour, breakfasted off a mutton carcase which had been hung outside over the week-end. All later collapsed from ptomaine poisoning. A doctor was summoned and it is hoped all will recover, although two are in a serious condition. Christchurch, November 27 A collision between a evcb’st and motor lorry in the city to-day resulted in the death of Arthur Kelly, aged 40, a married man, who carried on business as a fruiterer in Colombo St. . Dunedin, November 27. A prompt alarm given by a little girl to the wife of the custodian of the municipal baths pi-evented a drowning fatality at the public baths to-night. The little girl saw an elder girl lying at the bottom of the baths. The custodian of the baths, Air Olds, applied artificial respiration and the girl was brought round after three minutes, and was able to go home in a taxi. There were many people in the baths at the time. i Archibald Miller, a retired grocer, was found this morning with his throat cut. He is said to have been suffering from insomnia, . s
