Ashburton, November 24. John Bruce, aged 5(1, a farm labourer, residing near Rnkaia. out himself unnecessarily when shaving yesterday, and is now in hospital. According to his statement, while shaving something came over him and lie slashed his throat several limes, and immediately ran to a neighbour’s house and explained the happening, A doctor was summoned, and found live or six gashr- severing several of the muscles, :iixl narrowly missing the main arteries.. lie had only left hospital three weeks ago after suffering from organic trouble, - .
