WOOL AND SHEEPSKINS,

TMAIEDIATE OPER ATION. Wellington, November 13. Shippers are being advised by the various shipping companies that a general increase of id per lb. ill. (lie freights on wool and sheepskins to the United Kingdom will operate forthwith. The new freights are: Greasy wool, Id per lb; slipe wool, Ud; washed wool, l.fd; sheepskins Id. These rates are plus the customary ten per cent, primage. Washed and scoured wool, ex last season's sales, will be carried at last season’s rate, less the rebate applicable to the sale at which the wool was brought. NO INCREASE IN AUSTRALIA. Sydney, November 16. Shipping circles do not anticipate any increase in the wool freights following the increase of one-eigh-th of a penny from New Zealand to Britain.
