Messrs Levin and Co. Ltd. have received the following cable from their London agents, dated the 14th November, 1923: — “The auctions closed here to-day firm. Buyers operating freely. Sales closed with great strength. As compared with the opening rates of this series fine half-bred, 50/56’s, Id per lb. dearer; half-bred, 48/50’s, Id per lb. dearer; fine crossbred, 46/48’s id per lb. dearer; mediunji. do., 44/46’s, Id per lb. dearer; cdaijK* se do., 40/44’s, Id per lb. dearer; low do., 36/40’s, Ad per lb. dearer; crossbred bellies and pieces id per lb. dearer.”
