HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

A meeting of the Horticultural Society was held on Saturday evening, tlie Rev. Walton presiding over a good attendance. Appointments of judges for the Summer show were confirmed and the following were appointed stewards : —Mesdnmes Wvllie, Bakei’, Pearson, Moore, Proctor and Trueman, Misses Speirs and Ross; doorkeepers : Messrs D. Whibley and Bullard. A working bee to arrange the tables will comprise: Messi's Walton, Poole, Christie, C. Symons, James and John Ross, Nye, and Scollay; cake and SAveet stall: Mesdames Peai’son and Heasman, There is every indication that the Show will be one of the most successful yet held.
