SCULLING CHAMPIONSHIP.

HITCH OVER THE COURSE. Blenheim, Yesterday. Paddy Hannan last night received a letter from Paddon, stating that the latter refused to row for the world’s sculling championship unless the race is rowed on the Wanganui River. Hannan made all arrangements for the race to be rowed at Auckland, relying on Paddon’s previous agreement to row in New Zealand provided £3OO expenses were allowed. Hannan now is disposed to accept MtDevitt’s offer to row for the Australasian Cham-, pionship at Auckland in January.
