REQUEST THAT SERVICES SHOULD BE HELD. BY DOAHYTOY CHURCHES. Wellington, Last Night. The whole Empire has united since the year 1918, in commemorating Avinistee Day by a solemn silence of two minutes, beginning at the hour of 11 in Ihe morning, in each country, Dominion and dependency. His Majesty has expressed the wish that in tliis present year, when Armistice Day falls on a Sunday, a service of commemoration should he held in the churches, nnd I lie Government of Yew Zealand 1 rusts that the several denomin.nlions throughput Ihe Dominion will agree partly In devote their morning service on Sunday, November 11, to that object. During that service, at the hour of 11 n.m. a solemn silence will be observed. The New Zealand Bovermnent trusts that the Dominion churches will agree to arrange lhal on Sunday, November 11, the morning services shall commence not la Jor than 10.15 and that in (lie course of those services, the several congregations may he invited to rise at 11 a.m., and the silence observed for two minutes.
