THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The High Commissioner’s cable, dated the 27th inst., reads: “Hemp, Manila market, easier, but closed steady. -J’ grade, spot, sold at £32 to £32 10/- per ton; November-Jan-uary shipments, £3l-10/-. New Zealand market continues quiet owing to absence of sellers; buyers idea for high points £3l 10/- to £32.”
