LONDON WOOL SALES.
Messrs Levin and Co. Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated 23rd October, 1923 : “Auctions opened here to-day with a large attendance of buyers. Competition is keen. As compared with the closing -rates of the last series:—Merinos are unchanged; fine lmlfbrcils, 50/50'* me in per lb. dearer; lialfhreds, 48/50’s are Id per lh. dearer; fine crossbreds, 4fl/48's are Id per lit. dearer; medium do., 44/4(>’s are jd per lb dearer: coarse do,, 40/44's, are id per 1 i>. dearer; low do., 3(5/40 s are i,d per lb. dearer. The selection of wool was only fair.”
