The High Commissioner’s cable, dated I3|li instant; reads: — TTemp, Manila market tinner, and fair business has been done, Ocj.o-ber-December shipments, J. grade, sold up to £32 per ton; present quotations are £32 ss, 0 grade £35 10s. New Zealand market inactive and unchanged, nothing offering; spot buyers offer £32 for high-points November-December shipments, ami £3O 10s for fair, but no business is reported.
