A FAITH CURE.
AND SPECIALIST’S OPINION. Christchurch, September 30. In connection with Friday night’s Press Association telegram from Auckland, the Rev. Jasper Srnythe, on being interviewed yesterday, stated that he had a list of Hi persons for whom he was interceding in connection with-the Hickson Mission, and on September 7 he asked God for a sign that his progress was being heard, lie asked that God would increase his powers of sighl and hearing. He had been suffering- from a cataract on the right eye and used an ear trumpeL. Next morning he found he could read with his right eye, which hitherto had been practically blind. For three days there had been a discharge from his eye, and on the fourth day it became quite dry. His sight had so improved that he could now read the newspaper type. His bearing had improved wonderfully and he could now dispense with the use of the ear trumpet.
On being asked about the case, a prominent eye specialist said it would be impossible to make any statement unless the condition of the eye, both before the cure and after it were known.
