FOXTON CROQUET CLUB.
'flip annual meeting of the ahove was held in the Bowling Club’s pavilion on Wednesday afternoon. A good attendance of members were present and the meeting was presided over by Afr Christie, president of the Bowling Club. Those present were: Alesdames Pearson, Smith, Parkes, Heasmau, Huntley, Downes, Wyllie, Perreau, and Owen, Alisses A. and B. Speirs. The minutes of the previous annual meeting were read and confirmed. The following officers were elected: President: Airs Perreau;'vice-pre-sident: Airs Owen; secretary: Mrs Downes; committee: Alesdames Wyilie, Heasmau, Parkes and Afiss Speirs. All those present were unanimous in re-electing Airs Perreau for the presidentship as she proved 1 erself very energetic and entlius-ia.-fic and the members considered the club would lie well served by re-
(-led ing her. Mrs Perreau spoke in complimentary terms of the satisfactory manner in which the retiring secretary, Mrs Owen, had earned out her duties. Mrs Owen did not seek reeled ion owing to ill-health. A vote of thanks was accorded to the following ladies for their offer of trophies for the coming season: —Mcsdniues Parkes, Perreau, liensin. a, Owen and Mr Christie. Airs McColl’s resignation was accepted with regret. Mrs Preston was elected playing member, Mrs Bergin an honorary member. Thanks and appreciation were accorded all who assisted the chili in tlie past year. The date of t!.e opening of the green is lixed for October 10th.
