FIRE BOARD.

A meeting of the local members of the Foxton Fire Board was held last night. Present: Aressrs Hornblow (chairman), Bryant, Smith, Coley and the secretary (Air R. Rangiheuea). Plans and estimate of cost for erection of fire hell tower and hose drying gallows was considered and it was decided to recommend n modified structure to the Board. An estimate of the value of the old fire hell tower was received from Air Hunt. An inspection of the fire station was made and certain recommendations in connection with Hie building will come up for consideration at the Board meeting.
