BOWLING.

The surrounding clubs are now busy preparing for the official opening of their respective greens, and three notices of such openings have to-day been received by the secretary of the local club. A rink left Foxton this afternoon to he present at the official opening of the Feilding green, and Northern (Palmerston N.) are also opening to-day. Bulls Bowling Club intends opening on Wednesday, 20th inst. and Levin and Shannon both on Saturday, October Oth., invitations having been received for the local club to lie represented at each place.
