MOTOR ACCIDENT.

A serious motoring accident occulted on the Eoxton-Palmerstou road near Rangiotu on Thursday afternoon. A car containing Mesdames White aud Dunn (Sydney), Mrs Hyland (Napier), and Miss Mann (Wanganui), aud driven by Mrs E. M. Stephens (Palmerston N.) when rounding a bend skidded in the loose metal and capsized, preeipatiug the occupants into the ditch. Mesdumes White aud Dunn were injured, the former suffering from broken ribs and other injuries to the body. Mrs Dunn sustained a broken collarbone, Mrs Hyland a broken leg, and others a severe shaking. The ear was wrecked. The injured ladies were conveyed ladies were conveyed to Palmerston to Palmerston North and are progiessmg satisfactorily.
