ROWING CLUB.

Time was when the Afanawatu (Foxton) Rowing Club was one of the leading boating clubs in the Dominion and its representatives competed successfully in the big regattas held in different centres. Need we recall the famous “Dolly Varden” crew and its splendid record! All that is years ago. Since then the Rowing Club existed more for pleasure purposes. Then a fire destroyed the shed and boats. v The insurance was sufficient to rebuild and purchase new boats and it is hoped that there will be a revival in this favourite summer pastime this year. Members and intending members of the Ala mi wa tu Rowing Club are requested lo attend a meeting of that body, to he held in the Town Hall cloak room at 8 o’clock this .evening.
