FIRE AT THE BEACH.

COTTAGE DESTROYED. At about 10 o’clock last night a five-roomed cottage at the seaside, opposite the site of Langley’s boardinghouse, occupied by Mr Hurley and family and owned by Mr Watkins, was totally destroyed together with the contents. Mr Hurley was aroused from sleep by his son and the fire then had a good hold of the building. The cause of the outbreak is not known.
