FARMER FOUND DROWNED.
Taumarunui, Sept. 7. The body of a man named John Christie Brown, who wandered from an hotel’in Taumarunui at 4 o’clock on Thursday morning was discovered yesterday afternoon floating face downwards in the Wanganui River near Te Whakarae. Deceased had been in iil health for some time, and on Wednesday last was discharged from the Auckland Hospital. He a farmer at Matierc.
