“A Law Unto Ourselves” is the title of a long complete story which appears in the August number of the “London Magazine.” This story is written by Rita Wciman and is one of the best yet written by this famous author. Other stories by Stephen Dirck, G. B. Lancaster, H. Mortimer Batten, Owen Oliver, Gilbert Frankau and other popular authors serve to make this number of the “London” a real good edition. William Le Queux also tells of some of the crooks he has met in the course of his travels. William Polcontributes “Playing at story. A special feature is the photographic illustrations.

The August number of the “Red” Magazine is just to hand. This number contains many good stories which display the attractive talents of John Haslett Valiey, A. G. Greenwood, Michael Kent, F. Morton Howard, D. Harold Thompson, and many other famous authors. Cameo stories by Beatrice HeronMaxwell, most interesting reading of “Humour” and courage.
Weldon’s Bazaar of Children’s Fashions is the best children’s fashion journal and the September issue is full of practical ideas and delightful styles which can be easily made at home. The gratis patterns enclosed include a girl’s dress, 10 to 12 years, child’s Empire Coat and frock, 4 to fi years, boy’s tunic suit, 2 to 4 years and girl’s knieker frock, 2 to 4 years. There are dainty new frocks, coats and underclothing with crochet edgings to trim them, pinafore dresses, etc. This is an excellent edition of this popular home journal.
Every lady will want a copy of Weldon’s Ladies’ Journal, Septem-; her number. It is just brimful of all the latest and most charming styles from London and Paris and has fiee patterns enclosed of a lady’s wrap coat, morning frock, afternoon gown and dainty hat, with explicit directions for cutting out and making up. Special features of this number are the photogravure supplement, gratis transfer of Chinese design for embroidery on dresses etc. This is one of the best numbers yet produced.
